Dr Edward Hsu

Dr Hsu is a fully qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, obtaining his Dental qualification with honours from the University of Queensland in 1999 and Medical qualification also from the University of Queensland in 2003.

Following advanced surgical training rotating through most of the major hospitals in Queensland, Dr Hsu obtained the qualification of FRACDS (OMS) and is registered as a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with both the Australian Dental Board and the Australian Medical Board. Dr Hsu then completed additional surgical fellowship training in one of the busiest tertiary referral hospitals in London, UK. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), Australian Medical Association (AMA), as well as the Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ANZAOMS).

Dr Hsu is interested in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is always keen to work together with referring colleagues and the patient in achieving the best possible clinical result.

Dr Hsu has a public appointment as a Consultant Surgeon in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, as well as private practice. He is involved in the teaching of medical and dental students, as well as in the training of future Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Originally born in Tao-Yuen, Taiwan, Dr Hsu immigrated with his parents to Australia in 1986. He has an interest in cricket, tennis and rugby league. Dr Hsu is happily married with two children.
